The Illegitimate Child
It looks like Antique is working on a “awesome” then “not awesome” basis because this episode was great. Or maybe that’s because it featured Chi-chan and his illegitimate nine year old daughter with a height and body that shouldn’t belong to someone her age. Yeah, that’s probably the main reason. Any episode featuring this much insanity is too my taste. I mean, there was some drama but it was all in a very light-hearted and comedic mood. Until the end of the episode that is … THE END IS IN SIGHT!
From her appearance and personality, I guessed she was somehow related to Chikage. I was thinking niece or cousin or … well, related somehow. But it turns she’s Chi-chan’s DAUGHTER. And that she’s in the fourth grade. Well, Deko’s really cute and she has a cute voice. A little annoying, but cute nonetheless.
LE GASP! I gasped too. “WHO THE HELL IS THIS KID TO MAKE TACHIBANA ALL FATHERLY-LIKE?!” … Yuu-chan and Eiji sure did a lot of shocks this episode. Poor things.
Father and Daughter cuteness. How refreshing. I already guess by the time we got here that Deko was younger than she looks. But FOURTH GRADER! GASP. That’s criminal.
Ah, much better. Screw the angst part, but the shot is great.
More shocks. Big fucked family. Yeah. Wow, I was speechless to say the least. Eiji’s and Ono’s reactions were priceless. Eiji with his “So Chikage knew how to make kids?!” and Ono with his usual fear of women and male/female related things. AND LOOK AT THOSE FINGERS! It’s funny how I notice the position ever since I read the post. It’s really everywhere.
Moreover, I love how they’re all just so completely indifferent to the situation. I mean, only Eiji and Ono seem to realize that their situation is far from normal. What the hell?
“Besides, it felt good!”
Chi-chan continues to amazes us with his innocence and naivety. Poor Ono. He must be totally scarred by the revelation. I mean, we were all thinking he was a virgin right? And Eiji talks as if he knows from personal experience. Uh, right that’d be disturbing too. Or maybe Eiji was being sarcastic?
Aww, the mother and daughter get along in the end. How sweet.
Anyways, so after the two leave, Tachibana and the rest go out to eat where on TV they hear some kid got kidnapped. Oh the angst is back. Just great. I’m worried about episode 9 already. Looks like they’re going to try and resolve Tachibana’s past for the finale. It’d be awesome if we got more Yuu-chan and Chi-chan moments before the last episode. Nothing like the rain scene again, please. Just some cute fluff is fine. Please. And honestly, I want more of Eiji too. He didn’t really get that much spotlight did he? Well, this episode he did make a cake of his own. =D
Tachibana’s being nice and everyone’s being picky about it. Aw. Why aren’t all the episodes this awesome? I think my theory is right. All the awesome episodes seem to be the ones with not much cake shots.

I guess the awesome cake shots make up for the not so awesome ones… This episode left me in shock/stitches so much that I hardly noticed the lack of dessert!
