-glomps- I missed you Tomoya! After watching this episode though, it feels as if there was never a pause in between seasons. KyoAni still impresses me. I took so many useless shots just because it was so shiny and beautiful. The animation is as fluid as I remember plus, the gags in this episode were just too funny. Of course, Tomoya’s the source of most gags. His lines and tsukkomis are as top notch as usual. I regret not being able to make my post about him. He’s still 3rd in my ranks. It helps that Tomoya reminds me of You-kyan (Nakamura Yuuichi) himself. I love them both too much for my own good.

Yes, I’m a Tomoya x Nagisa shipper but I’m still a fangirl at heart. I can’t help but love these scenes in which Akio harrasses Tomoya. Anyways, everyone knows this by now I’ll bet but I’ll say it anyway, the first episode of the After Story features everyone playing a game of baseball against a team that went to the nationals. The team consists of Tomoya, Akio, Tomoyo, Kyou, Kotomi, Misae, Mei, Sunohara and Yoshino Yuusuke. Sorry, can’t help but say “Yoshino Yuusuke” fully. He’s such a manly dork.

(The square screenshots are starting to piss me off)

Sunohara is still my hero. He’s the best idiot ever seen on the face of the earth. Of course, his “coolness” comes majoritarily from the fact that it’s Tomoya making a fool outta him. What would CLANNAD be without Sunohara? … I don’t even want to imagine.

Tomoya tricks Yoshino Yuusuke into joining the team. Sunohara gains 1 000 000 points for “Yoshino Call” and crying at his own fake story made up by Tomoya. Tomoya, seriously, you win as best actor … come to think of it, Tomoya’s like an Alto from a different universe. Or is it the other around? Plus, both have a thing against their fathers. Difference is, Tomoya can actually pick a girl unlike Alto who just … well, didn’t.

Maybe I should give up on waiting for A-1 to animation Oofuri Season Two and wish for KyoAni to do it. It would’ve been epic. Then again, I don’t think I really mean that comment. A-1 did a more than awesome job with Oofuri. Akio’s a hot pitcher. Akio is manly. Akio is GAR. I love Akio and Akio is awesome. Tomo-pyon~ Misae-chan ~

Well, finally, a shot with a girl in it. Kyou’s a great as always. It’s hilarious how all the females in the team pwn so much and the men … just don’t. Akio being the exception of course. And man is it weird hearing You-kyan+Baseball-Catcher. Then again, Sunohara’s an epic targ- er, I mean, catcher.

With Ranka gone, I’m with you all the way Nagisa for SaiMoe! Fighto ~ desu yo! Are moe pitchers in style now or something? Well, Mihashi’s still a hundred times cuter than you Nagisa. Woups ~ that’s the fangirl talking again. Akio went down the in most hilarious way possible. I watched it over so many times and still kept on laughing.

Kotomi, annoying? Wow could I have possibly thought that? My opinion’s probably changed because she actually did something this episode aside say a sentence that ended in “na no~” You cute moe blob genius blob you!

(Oh yeah, let me take this opportunity to say that I got my computer fixed. It’s been completely re-programed so it’s like brand new now =D Now to keep safe from evil viruses ~)

Well, in the end, Tomoya man’d up and allowed the team to win! Seeing Shima there makes me kinda sad I’ll never see his and Misae’s story in anime unless KyoAni graces us with an OVA. I really enjoyed her route in the game. Ah, Shima’s the cat by the way.

Before I end this post, it’s time for … YOSHINO CORNER! (I just had to, he was way too epic this episode)

The YOSHINO YUUSUKE Unit.

Thank you very much for purchasing this YOSHINO YUUSUKE Unit. You’ll definitely be pleased with this ex-musician with dorky yet cool and elegant mannerisms. He has the awesome ability to say epic motivational speeches and will cheer you up whenever needed! If ever he decides to disobey your orders, make him obey you by saying “it is for the sake of memories” after your request.

If Yoshino Yuusuke had more screentime, he’d definitely make it into my ranks. I don’t any other character as dorky yet manly as him. I don’t remembering hearing Midorin (Midorikawa Hikaru) voice another character like him … ever. Even Seiran (Saiunkoku Monogatari) isn’t that dorky.

(cont.)

Remember buyers, your YOSHINO YUUSUKE unit easily depressed. Please refrain from making him to depressed. “Fight-o desu yo!”s will definitely help.

(cont.)

Your YOSHINO YUUSUKE unit is extremely poor and owns nothing. Bribing him with money will probably work. If you somehow manage to make him forget he has a wife, selling him off with those looks will definitely get both you and him a lot of money.

Yes, I am kidding. I love you Yoshino Yuusuke. Really. See how everyone shuts up to listen to you when you speak? You’re that epic. So epic you deserved your own corner.

This was a great episode. I had so many laughs that it’s going to kill me when we get to the dramatic points in the story. About the OP and ED, well, I don’t generally comment on them in my posts. The singer of both is Lia who sang … well, a lot of Key stuff. Remember Air’s Tori no Uta? Anyways, it’s going to take a while to get used to the new ED. I wasn’t expecting “Dango Daikazoku” to start playing so it put me off … which is weird even though I saw everyone else’s post on the episode.

Next episode looks like it’ll feature Sunohara.

  1. Oho~! If you like Hikaru Midorikawa voicing Yoshino Yusuke the manly dork then you’re going to love Kyousuke once KyoAni decides to animate Little Busters! (they totally will…). He’ll definitely get more screentime too. God…KyoAni better announce Little Busters! in the After Story finale.

“The YOSHINO YUUSUKE Unit” made me lol btw.

And we’re on the same page about Nagisa for SaiMoe! Win it all Nagisa-chan! Make your incredibly adorable and moe sniffles from this episode worth it!
