Remember when I said Nabari no Ou was the most slashable series this season? I take it back and rename it to be the “most ambiguous slashable” series this season. Why? Because Monochrome takes the cake.
I was looking over the list of things I decided not to preview this season when I suddenly found Monochrome Factor. It was on my watchlist for the cast and how slashable it looked like. I think the only reason I didn’t preview it was because of how much Shirogane scared me. But since I was free, I decided to download the first two episodes.
It wins. Really. OnoDxSuwabe Jun, 4tw.
Slash aside. The characters are really fun. From “I’m always bored” Akira to “GET BACK IN CLASS” Aya and “Obviously gay” Shirogane. (Then there’s also the fact I haven’t heard Kamiyan in such a active role since Itoshiki-sensei and Saiga Mitsuki in non-tsundere role)

Plot in nutshell: “Boy meets transvestite who wants him to fight freaky monsters to restore balance between worlds”
Not to mention said transvestite obviously wants something more than just help to restore balance.
MOST SLASHABLE SCENES IN TWO EPISODES
#3 – WAKING UP TO ANOTHER MAN’S FACE
This number three because … uh … well, it wasn’t as good as the other two. OnoD’s ‘GAAAAAH!’ scream was just as good as Sakurai ‘GAAAAAAH’! scream the first time Yuuri woke to Wolfy’s face.
#2 – KISSU
This is … HEY WAIT! This isn’t slash! THEY ACTUALLY KISSED! -dies inside- Is it possible to label this anime BL now? ‘Cuz this passes the boundaries of slash .. I think. (Fuck you censoring! Y’think maybe the DVD version will remove it?)

If I didn’t know that Akira was just pulling out some huge thorn out of Shirogane’s back … I would’ve thought they were doing … something else.
If Shirogane weren’t so damn creepy looking, I’d love the two as a couple. Really. This is going to take a while to get used to … maybe I should find an SuwabexOnoD drama instead ….
