No I did not misspell the title. It’s perfectly written on the CD “Balett Star” and not “Ballet Star”. I’ve got no idea why it’s not Ballet but it doesn’t really matter either.
For once, I’ve decided to listen to something non-BL and chose Balett Star ’cause I missed Sakupyon’s voice a lot (especially since I heard Tengu Kami). The story for this is probably more insane than Kiyosho which was about a couple of men making a BLCD. In the Balett Star, we’ve five guys aiming to be Idols. Yes, Idols. Why? Because Keisuke’s family company will rot and die if they don’t. Makes sense? Of course not! But that doesn’t matter because it’s funny right? -laughs-
Balett Star has many many similarities with Kiyosho. Both Dramas are total crack and have a couple of guys do the weirdest things. Both have the “Two 30-minute tracks with a Cast Talk”. And Both have insane characters. But both Dramas are so damn good that I can’t bring myself to pick between them.
He’s the megane-chara with purple hair and braid voiced by Sakupyon. Keisuke’s the character who stresses and panics easily. You’d think he’s the most normal character of them all but he’s no less insane than the others. Actually, when the stress piles up way to high, Keisuke snaps and becomes Devil-Keisuke. And Devil-Keisuke well … scares the crap out of everyone. Of course, when Kei-chan calms down he doesn’t remember crap about his devil self.
The only “normal” character in this Drama voiced by SugiTomo. He’s basically the subject to Eiji’s brother complex. He’s the cute orange-haired guy on the cover. He’s the only one who truly wants to help Keisuke. Honestly, I don’t know what else to say about him because he’s so damn normal.
Voiced by Okiayu he’s the guy the with “Jirou” forehead strap on the cover. He’s obsessed with Jirou who he treats like a younger brother … even though they aren’t related. Does he beat Lulu with his Sibling Complex, though? No, probably not. But Eiji’s just … really weird. He argues frequently with Takumi. The only reason he’s on the Unit is because Jirou’s in it.
Voiced by Daisaku, he’s the red-haired guy on the cover. Despite his looks, he’s frikken 19 years old. He’s cute but violent, agressive and has quite the temper. He has absolutely no dere and way too much tsun but I love him for that. He’s the only one of the Unit (which doesn’t include Tonomura) who really wants to be an Idol. Oh and he has a certain liking to Shoujo Manga.
Voiced by Kondou Takayuki he’s the silver-haired bishonen of the group as well as the frequent tsukkomi. He looks great in everything he wears and he’s absolutely obsessed with Shoujo Manga and a mangaka in particular. Said Mangaka turns out to be Keisuke’s sister. Aoi joins the Unit in order to save Keisuke’s sister’s career because he refuses to live without her manga.
Tonomura and Sachou
The bear and brown-haired man on the cover voiced by Midorin. Tonomura is apparently famous because he can turn anyone into an idol. He’s, without a doubt, the strangest character of them all maybe only after Sachou himself. I have absolutely no idea how to describe this guy. Then there’s Sachou (the boss), who’s basically the bear on Tonomura’s hand. It speaks in Kansai-ben … and can drink water … Yes, these two are a mystery.
Fear the Evil Keisuke!
Need I say it? I love this drama. I’m jumping on all fours for the three other CDs and apparently there’s a second series too. Bring on the Balett Star!
- Midorin voicing a Bear in Kansai-ben
- Doing a Skit with a Shoujo Manga as a script
- Manzai Combi!
- Attempt at cooking Curry
Off to listen to the rest of the series.
