I’ve been hearing a lot about this drama in the past and I thought it’d be good idea to finally check it out (mostly about how damn good the H-scenes were). Actually, I listened to this a few days ago so my memory might not be very accurate anymore.
Personally, I don’t really like Nakai’s voice. The first time I heard it was in Bitter Valentine with Shimo-chan and his character’s incessant talking during H-scenes didn’t leave me with a very good impression on him. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to another Drama with him in the main pairing since. After Kono Ai, I’m going to have to stick with my intial opinion. I don’t really like his voice but … it’s bearable. -gets shot by Nakai fans- Now, unless someone recs me a good drama with him in it, my opinion is not likely to change. Yusa, on the other hand, was as great as ever.

Story:
Suwa Fuyuki absolutely hates his childhood friend, Mitora. For the longest time, Mitora did nothing but cause him grief and problems; getting him caught with whisky, driving away his girlfriends and other things. When his Dad gets sick, Fuyuki finds himself becoming Mitora’s yazuka group’s lawyer in his place as well as Mitora’s personal toy.

Though I didn’t really like his voice, Mitora was quite the character. I’ve already gotten used to the fact that most seemingly cruel and cold semes are actually just giant awkward teddy bears. Mitora was the same, just perhaps a little more straight-forward. He just expresses himself and his love in the strangest of fashions. Fuyuki, on the other hand, is a strong uke. The ones that refuse to give in or give up. As expected from a character voiced by Yucchi! So character-wise, I was satisfied with Kono Ai.
Story-wise, I was really happy too. It was a change from all the crack-like dramas I’ve been listening to lately. The mood reminded me somewhat of Nejireta EDGE. The only difference being that the uke in Kono Ai is strong unlike the weak and pathetic (but cute) uke in Nejireta.
The highlight of this drama is, without a doubt, the phone sex. Strangely enough, it’s not something you often here in BLCDs. The last time I remember hearing one was in one of the Double Call dramas. Well, both of them were extremely hot.
Overall:
Definitely recommended for anyone who likes either Yucchi or Nakai. Both of their voice acting was great (despite myself). The story is pretty easy to follow as well and the ero scenes are great. If you like Nejireta EDGE, you’ll probably like this too … since the atmosphere is alike.
(Unlike in Ai wa Barairo no Kiss, Leaf Sound Novels did a good job with this drama)

(oof, after this drama I’ll be reviewing at least one of the new releases. Either Honenuki ni Saretai or Kuchibiru no Yukuke … which both ironically feature Torikou. Knowing me, I’ll probably end up reviewing both since there’s MoriMori-uke and Suzu-uke in the other. Both are extremely hard to resist)
0nThank’s.5r I compleatly agree with last post. jzi

You write the best reviews, thanks to you I’ve discovered the pleasures of BL (not like that ¬///¬), so I will probably give this one a chance. And Yucchi is always great to listen to ^_^
Thanks!
