Honenuki ni Saretai
Pairing: Toriumi Kousuke x Morikawa Toshiyuki
Morikawa Toshiyuki as Hoshina Mahiro
Toriumi Kousuke as Kamikura Atsushi
Taniyama Kisho as Hoshina Masaki
This is the funniest most light-hearted thing I’ve heard since Junjo Romantica. The mood of this drama is uncannily similar to Wagamama Dakedo Itoshikute and follows the whole mini-stories type of plot. Even the characters are alike to the ones in Wagamama.
Honenuki ni Saretai is a light-heart comedic love story about the daily life of everyday salary man Hoshina Mahiro and his younger lover as well university student/model Kamikura Atsushi.
There’s really nothing more to the story than just that. Hoshina (MoriMori) is your typical cool/handsome older uke and Atsushi is the total “dame dame” cute puppy-like ukeseme (edit: lol, typo). As I said, Hoshina’s and Atsushi’s personalities are scarily close to Shuji’s and Natsu’s personalities (from Wagamama Dakedo Itoshikute)
Most of the time, Hoshina is the cool-type and you probably wouldn’t figure how the hell he can be uke until the actual karami scene where he’s completely and totally submissive. Atsushi, on the other hand, is the total puppy-type character and he cries way too easily. That aside, Atsushi also takes on the role of the “wife” … he does the cooking, the laundry and hell, he even picks out Hoshina’s ties everyday. Over that, Atsushi is a student and has his job as a model. I have no idea how he’s not overwhelmed.
The drama focuses on generic events but the characters make it extremely fun to listen to. The jokes are hilarious and one of the running gags is Atsushi crying over how Hoshina can’t remember what meaningless event happened that day. Atsushi seems to remember all the days he did something with Hoshina … the first time Hoshina praised him, the first time they did the groceries together, their first date, the first time they had sex … and so on. There’s even a little side story where Hoshina buys a new calendar and Atsushi write on it all of the dates he remembers only to have them erased by Hoshina afterwards. Our uke compensates by writing a single date which happens to be Atsushi’s birthday. That was one of the sweetest scenes >< and trust me, there’s a lot of them. Atsushi and Hoshina are extremely entertaining characters.
(I’m not mentioning Hoshina’s brother Masaki because I don’t really have anything to say about him. I’ll admit, his presence did make everything much more fun though)
Aside a certain track in Oi! Tanaka-kun (Ecstasy wa Eien ni) I’ve never heard MoriMori’s uke. And damn, I wonder why I haven’t. Yes, MoriMori does the sexiest hottest semes ever but his uke is just as great. And Toriumi does the “dame dame” seme role perfectly as well unlike as certain Hirarin. The karami scenes aren’t that long and there aren’t many either but they’re absolutely great.
The freetalk was fun as well. Apparently, Toriumi, MoriMori and Taniyama all get along quite well. Half way through the freetalk, they were talking about if Honenuki had a sequel what new character would come and who would voice him. Taniyama immediately proposed Miyano Mamoru-kun. I laughed so hard along with them. Taniyama was like “It’s about time we bring him to this side!” …. Honestly, I couldn’t help but agree. :rolls eyes:
This is definitely recommended for someone who want a few LOLz. Plus, the light-hearted story makes it extremely easy to understand if you don’t really understand Japanese. MoriMori-uke is ultimate win and Puppy-Toriumi is totally adorable.
