Kannagi!
Actually, this was the first anime of the Fall season that I watched. There were two reasons this was on my list: Shimo-chan and A-1 pictures. I actually really enjoyed the episode considering I have a really soft spot for slice-of-life anime of this kind. Shimo-chan helped at lot though. I probably wouldn’t like Jin as much if he weren’t voiced by him. And it’s good to know I can hear Shimo-chan in anime even though Special A is done. Actually, I’m really tempted to blog this one since it was pretty interesting. Nagi is an awesome character even though I’ve seen her type a thousand times. I have a soft spot for characters that talk the way she does. The “nagi-is-an-idol” OP hooked me as well. OPs don’t generally hook me … but the openings this season are generally good for some reason. But back to Jin because I’m loving him a lot already. Yes, totally biased here because Shimo-chan’s mah number one.
Tales of the Abyss
The only reason I’ve decided to watch this is because I wanted to know the story without having to play the game. I grew to like Luke and Tear from Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology after all. I was worried that adaption would suck but then again, what would I know? I didn’t play the game so I can’t make proper judgements. But, as an outsider, I liked the episode. Though I pissed Sunrise resorted to a stupid cliffhanger to end the episode. And man is it a change to hear Yukana voice someone other than C.C. and to hear Suzuki Chihiro (Luke) in an anime for once.
And was Luke always this cute? Or is it Suzuki Chihiro making it so? Ah, I’m already vying for more Guy x Luke.
