We’re still with Romantica and we’ll still be with Romantica next week as well. Next week’s episode is probably going to wrap up Haruhiko’s arc so hang in there folks who dislike Misaki and Usagi.
To be perfectly honest though, I was bored with this episode. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s because I’ve listened to it way too many times in the drama CD. That or the CD was way funnier than the anime. Seeing the ichigo scene animated made me happy though.
Romantica gets pretty repetitive since Usagi’s and Misaki’s relationship barely ever progresses to anywhere. Misaki completely absolutely refuses to admit he likes Usagi and that fact is always endlessly repeated in every arc. It’s not only Sumi’s arc that Misaki’s going to be forced to confess … but even then the words refuse to leave his lips. I haven’t read/listened past that point so I don’t know the details of Misaki’s confession which is before the Christmas arc or during. But anways,
Isaka brings up the ‘don’t cause a scandal’ matter which honestly doesn’t really do anything to the story itself. It just makes Misaki worry a bit about being a bother to Usagi but we all know that’s Misaki’s weak point so I don’t care about anymore. Can we get some progress in Romantica please? I really hope we get to Misaki’s confession before or on the last episode.
Misaki explains Usagi’s in extremely bad mood. A) Because he has to go to a party he doesn’t want to be at. B) Because he bumped into his brother and C) Because said brother gave Misaki a bouquet of flowers. Misaki then reprimands Usagi telling him to either drink or smoke not. He continues saying that tonight’s work and that it’d be good to “breath the real world’s air” once in a whille. Usagi teases him with play on Misaki’s words saying he’d rather -insert something inappropriate-. Misaki gets mad and gets up to go to the bathroom. Usagi follows after him and asks him why won’t he acknowledge it. It, meaning their relationship. Misaki denies everything once again. Usagi tries to kiss Misaki but he pushes him away saying “Do you think you can do everything to me just because you like me?!” and Usagi replies that he does think so. Fast-forward to after the opening, everyone (Misaki, Usagi, Aikawa and Isaka) are all down at the party. Misaki had problems with his tie so Usagi helps him before walking off with Aikawa to do some work. Isaka then calls Misaki to talk. Isaka warns Misaki to not get any closer to Usagi than is needed. Meaning, don’t cause a scandal. Misaki presses that he’s not really anything with Usagi even though deep down he knows that’s not true. Isaka continues and tells Misaki “after all, you don’t want to become a bother to anyone right?”. Back at the party, Misaki gets to see Usagi go up on stage and gets sort of disgusted at how everyone’s falling for his gentleman act. He tries to go and talk to him afterwards but Usagi is quickly surrounded by a bunch of girls. Misaki realizes all over again how popular Usagi is and starts thinking that he really might be a bother to Usagi. Two guys dating is a scandal after all. Eventually, that ‘Asahina’ guy that’s always with Isaka comes to talk to Misaki. He offers to get a grab to eat with Misaki but Misaki runs off for the bathroom. And Misaki can’t stop thinking about how he’s ultimately a bother to Usagi. He eventually runs into Haruhiko who invites him to his room to eat some strawberry cake. Misaki wants to apologize about calling Haruhiko and idiot but asks instead why Haruhiko gave him flowers. Haruhiko explains that its because Misaki said he like them. Misaki says it’s not that he hates them or anything. Haruhiko then asks Misaki what he likes then and he replies “strawberries” so Haruhiko takes a strawberry from his cake and puts in on Misaki’s cake. Misaki decides that conversing Haruhiko is absolutely impossible. They change the subject and Haruhiko asks how long he’s been living Usagi. Misaki answers that it’s been since April (correct me if I’m wrong). Haruhiko continues and says that it must be hard to live with Usagi but Misaki replies otherwise and that he does the chores and everything as rent. Haruhiko tells him that’s responsable since he’s still so young. Misaki answers that Haruhiko is still young himself. Haruhiko turns out to be two years older. Misaki continues and points out that Haruhiko and Usagi don’t look at all alike. Haruhiko explains that that’s a given but doesn’t say the reason why. So Misaki tries to leave but Haruhiko stops him and ends up confessing love. Misaki runs off for his room and bumps into Usagi screaming “GAH! USAGI SIBLINGS!” Misaki panics a bit before properly telling Usagi what happened. Usagi gets mad and tries to leave to probably beat up Haruhiko. Isaka ends up coming and scolding Usagi from outside the room telling him to get back to the party. Misaki tells him he should go but Usagi argues that work is done and now it’s private time. He continues saying that Misaki is his and that he should give up. Misaki says he never will. Smex ensues. Afterwards, Usagi says they should leave the hotel early tomorrow morning to prevent from bumping into Isaka. Misaki agrees and falls asleep thinking about Usagi.
The next morning, Misaki receives strawberries from Haruhiko.
Okay, I swear I’m never doing a summary again. I SWEAR this time.
Remember folks, everyone from the Usami family has extremely bad social skills. Seriously, Haruhiko thinks he can steal Misaki away by bombarding him with gifts of that he ‘likes’
GAAAAAAAAAAH! USAMI KYODAI!
Misaki was so cute this episode again. I’ve got to stop taking shots of him. It’s insane. For some odd reason, the suit doesn’t make him any older. Well, sometimes it did but most of time it just made him look younger. Though, in the manga, he looked even more like a kid so the anime’s a nice improvement.
Usagi Akihiko desu
Good use of Bishie Sparkles? Check.
Meet Sumi-senpai’s father. (Not that this fact is going to play much of a part anyway)
Man, I can’t wait for Sumi’s arc now. Just for Misaki’s attempt at the confession and … a certain other thing. Those who have read the manga or listened to drama know what I’m talking about right? Gods am I hoping to get a lot of nice shots of that.
I love my ukes.
The after episode segment was about Misaki falling into despair about strawberries. They’re probably going to explain it next week but I’ll explain now anyway to those who don’t know. Haruhiko ends up sending Misaki strawberry snacks every day in mass loads to the point that Misaki doesn’t know what to do anymore. Hahaha~
Next week: MISAKI GETS KIDNAPPED!
By who? Haruhiko of course! Then what’s going to happen? Misaki’s going to jump out a window of course!
I miss Egoist and Terrorist already. I really had nothing to say about this episode.
