Cheers to a great year. 2008 was a good one. After the dark ages that was, for me, 2007, this year was relieving. I had loads of fun and plenty happened to keep me busy. Well, most of the time I guess. I had my dose of boredom this year as well. And boy, I suck. This is my third filler post in a row isn’t it? Forgive me. I’ve got non-filler posts coming up as soon as things calm down.
New Years itelf doesn’t really mark anything for me. I started this blog in February, I started blogging in July and my days as an anime fan dates so long ago that I don’t remember the month. But still, New Years is the day of new beginning. The day of resolution and blablabla. I’ve got loads of things I want to accomplish. I won’t get through half of them for sure. Resolutions don’t tend to last very long, unfortunately.
New Years Resolutions for 2009
– Write more insightful posts. Less filler and useless ones.
– Improve my art skillz
– Improve my writing skillz
– Start and Finish TWEWY crack doujin in time for Otakuthon ’09
– Procrastinate less. Study more. Get better grades.
– Get a job. Save up money. Get a new computer.
Wait a second … Ah crap. Those are goals not resolutions! Ahem. Well, it comes down to a simple thing though; Procrastinate less. Stop being lazy. Be more productive. I think that’s been my resolution for like, three years now. I started being a lazy ass in the 8th grade.
In any case, it’s about time I take a paper out and start getting used to writing 2009. There’s a lot of things I wasn’t able to do this year and more things I wasn’t able to finish or start because of my being lazy. This blog’s pretty much dying so I guess I better work harder. I love anime. Always did, always will. Hopefully 2009 will be as good a year as 2008; even though 2008 had its load of crap. I didn’t have the time to really check out the upcoming season’s anime since I’ve already decided to lay back and relax for winter. Keeping up with the latest anime episodes and all that crap is tiring. I’ll get back to it in Spring when I’m rejeuvenated.
You can bet I’m watching Maria Holic, FMA and Natsume Yuujin-cho since they’ve been on the list since early Fall. If there’s anime with bishies, a good cast, eyecandy and/or slash, please let me know. I’m trying to replace the gaping whole Junjo Romantica left me with when it ended.
Memories of 2008- Starting “Death by Moe”
– Getting to know the anime blog sphere
– Watching and Fangirling about Code Geass R2
– Seriously falling into the pit that is Fujoshidom
– Watching Gurren Lagann
– Watching Junjo Romantica
– Seriously falling into the darker pit that is BLCDs
– Becoming a die-hard male seiyuu fangirl
– Buying a Nintendo DS
– Playing “Phoenix Wright” “Chrono Trigger” “FFVII: Crisis Core” and “TWEWY”
– Getting my soul owned by Square Enix and SONY [IT’S A SONY!]
– Getting a Flatscreen and a EXHD
– Losing my Sanity
– Watching and Fangirling about Gundam 00
– Becoming a VOCALOID fan
– Conquering my inner Emo. Fuck Depression! I WANNA BE HAPPEH!
– Going to Otakuthon ’08 [My first ani-con ever!]
But my Big Big number one of the year 2008 is one thing, and one thing only; watching, fangirling, re-watching, re-fangirling about fifty plus times about a single series called Ookiku Furikabutte. For short, Oofuri. I don’t rant about this series enough. Really, I don’t. Which is sad, considering how much I love it. I love it so much I’m watching it again for the sake of it even though it’s winter. I tend to respect seasons with anything I do, but Oofuri’s a big exception. I’ll watch it, anywhere anytime and I will fangirl about it. I don’t say it enough; it’s the epitome of my fangirling.
Second place would probably be finding love for male seiyuu. Namely, Kamiya Hiroshi, Toriumi Kousuke, Shimono Hiro, Sakurai Takahiro, Fukuyama Jun, Nakamura Yuuichi, Yusa Kouji, Hatano Wataru and well, I could go on for pages but I won’t.
That said, let’s end the year with some good ol’ crossdressing ~
(I’ll try and be more productive next year!)
