Germany ~ Germany ~ Germany is a good place!
He gives food to prisoners of war like me
And the food’s not bad like UK’s!

Hetalia vision is taken over my daily life and it’s sort of reaaalllyyy creepy how I can barely do anything without thinking of Hetalia. And I just wrote a sentence that started and ended with Hetalia. … And maybe I should stop saying the word Hetalia before I drive myself crazy. Okay, so I’ve already done that but that’s besides the point (which, I think, doesn’t exist) … This insanity is being caused by putting the Germany song and the Hetalia ending on repeat for about half and hour now. I haven’t gone this insane since the Lucky Star opening. Beware the nonsensical post.
Well, I’m not planning on leaving the Hetalia fandom for a while. The fandom community is one of the nicest I’ve seen in a long while and I’m enjoying the peacefulness of being able to rant about the series without being bothered by crazy n00bish fangirls or boys, whatever. The Hetalia livejournal community has become my best friend in the past few weeks. But why the hell am I talking about this?
(But while I’m at it, Sunday Pasta is my best friend too. This week’s was great like the first two!)
Episodes in a Nutshell
In episode two, Germany finds Italy in the tomato box and captures him. We then get a Chibitalia segment about how Chibitalia was bullied by many countries in the past because he had a magnificent culture and land but was extremely weak. France and Holy Roman Empire have cute showdown and Spain owns me with his kansai-ben. I’m just saying that because I don’t wanna say that Chibitalia’s voice makes me melt every time I hear it. Ah crap, I said it. But moving on, it’s basically this. Italy’s a total hetare because he’s been bullied all his childhood. Gods there’s something funny about typing that. Anyways! I’m just counting the weeks I’ll have to wait before seeing Holy Roman Empire kiss Chibitalia. If that even gets animated … -crosses fingers-
After the Chibitalia cuteness, we’re back to Germany and Italy. Germany doesn’t understand how Italy isn’t showing any signs of wanting to escape so he basically opens the prison(?) door to let him run. Italy, in a sort of daze, gets up and leave only to flirt with some girls befor retreating back into the prison place. Ahaha ~ Typical Italy!
Then episode three starts of with Italy singing a song he wrote for Germany. It’s cute and random but oh-so Italy! Then, after the title scene, Germany is seen working hard to pay back France when Italy comes back begging for work. Germany ignores him but … well, that ends up being impossible because we’re talking about Italy here.
Blablabla ~ Moving on, (I’m skipping the TV thingy because it’s self-explanatory) Germany and Italy have the friendship pact! That’s going to be cute no matter how many times I watch it. Germany’s face was so adorable!
And finally, as the episode comes to end, Japan makes an appearance.
WHY TAKAHASHI HIROKI!? WHY!?
I’m sorry, but I can’t take this. I want moe-voice Japan back! Now, now, now! This is totally ruining my perception of the character and its driving more crazy than the Hetalia ending on repeat for about an hour.
I’m not going to get used to this when the drama CDs are so close at hand. -runs back to listen- Well, maybe I should look forward to the G5 Color Rangers thingy now.
Japan’s voice moe or not; I’m enjoying the anime a lot. I never get tired of the episodes even after watching them about fifty times already. That’s most probably because I’m a die-hard fan of the series now but I can’t help that can I? I’m five minutes away from watching Pearl Harbor and the Patriot just because I wanna watch it with Hetalia vision. Though it isn’t for really good reasons, I’ve actually become more interested in history. Well, Hetalia vision or not, Quebec’s history is still boring aside the tiny moments I can giggle about when I think of Canada and US. Sigh. I’m still weeping the lack of voiced Canada but I console myself with imagining Nojima Kenji voicing him.
There’s a lot I’m looking forward to seeing animated and even though the episodes are just five minutes, I’m finding it surprisingly satisfying. I’m honestly beginning to think 26 episodes will be enough to animate a nice portion of the good Hetalia strips. At this point, the anime’s less of adaptation and more an animated version of the comic.
Heh. I’m not complaining. The anime is really well animated. The background and sfx are perfect. The music drives me crazy in a good way.
I don’t know what I’m talking about anymore so I should probably end the post here but there’s a video I wanna share first:
My latest favorite Hetalia MAD that isn’t UKxJapan (there’s too many of them!) … I’m not sure if there’s a consistent story (I’m too lazy to decipher the kanji) to it but it’s quite entertaining. It’s starts off with US, UK and Japan robbing MickeyD’s and the rest is a bunch of fanservice shots and funny shorts that I don’t really understand. Translation would be much appreciated. Anyways, I approve of having Canada in there because he isn’t in MADs often. Or at least, he isn’t visible in MADs often. I’m not going to pretend I don’t cry about that. But please, don’t take me seriously. I’m not making any sense right now.
And here’s some SpainxSouth Italy(Romano) because I feel like they don’t get enough love. They’re a really cute pairing … as with most Hetalia pairings … uh scratch that last … as with ALL Hetalia pairings.
Yeah, I don’t think I ever want to write a post this messy ever again. I don’t even understand my thought pattern anymore. I’m only forgiving myself because it’s a really special day for this blog on wednesday! Cheers to anyone who can figure it out!
