Code Geass R2 – 01

After months of waiting its finally here! R2! I was kind of afraid that it wouldn’t live up to the first series … but, if it continues this way, my worries would be useless. Why? Well, the first episode ROCKED! My only complaint … the entire episode was practically an exact replica of the first episode of the first season, with minor differences of course and that kind-faced Lulu was so damn short-lived. Then again, I don’t think anyone but me is complaining about kind-faced Lulu. – The Breakdown

The OP Eh. Not much to say. The Chorus (which I love) aside, the rest of the song is so-so for me. Though, because of the OP, I have a feeling that Nunnally is in the mainland with the Emperor and that Rollo might’ve been sent to Lulu after he lost his memories.

I LOVE the track that starts playing when Villetta starts chasing after Lulu. It’s beautiful and somehow reminds me of a track that plays in FFX-2 (can’t remember where tho). Anyways, like the first episode of the first season, Lulu leaves school to play chess against some ugly over-confident fool. Rollo still hasn’t won a place in my heart so I’m still pissed with him replacing Rivalz. I will admit that he is VERY cute (I demand to hear his seiyuu in a BLCD one day). ((Hearing Lulu say Zero is an idiot was kind of funny … considering he himself is Zero. FukuJun-sama!))

Great … I want Pizza all of a sudden now. -stomach growls-

Ouch! That is one NICE KICK! I wish I could’ve of taken more screenshots of Kallen kicking ass but I have bad timing and gave up after a while. I have to mention that it VERY unsafe to keep her Shiki’s key in her breast. Wait, wait … If you have big breasts and stick something in between would is stay in reality? I wouldn’t know since my breasts aren’t as big. Woups, sorry for the useless comment.

Xing-Ke looks like Yasha (from RGVeda and TRC) … just upgraded. ‘Cept Xing is more attractive, or maybe it’s because of Hikaru Midorikawa-sama’s voice. Either, I like the guy.

… this is the EXACT same thing that happened last time … except this time … no, wait … nvm, it’s the same. What came after was the difference. Seems like everyone know Lulu’s Zero now. Goodbye kind Lulu! It was short-lived but okay. Oh by the way, Rollo and Lulu got separated sometime before this. The way Lulu thinks about protecting Rollo is the same way he thinks about Nunnally … it’s as if the two got replaced in his mind. O_O

Then there’s C.C that ‘comes to pick up’ Lulu. That way she spoke … and her tone of voice … it really seemed as if C.C loves Lulu or something. Freaky. Also, watching Lulu panic was really amusing.

Suzaku! Damnit, damnit. Really, I wonder how Lulu and him are going to get along again. Then again, that might not even happen. If it DOES happen, I get the feeling it would’ve been too late and Suzaku will die. I don’t want him to die. Really.

“Tomodachi darou? Oretachi wa.”

I put that line on repeat 100 times and it wouldn’t be enough. I absolutely LOVE IT. Another line I loved from this ep was Lulu’s “I’m not the one who’s wrong, the world is.” I love how conceited it sounds. It shows how Lulu’s back to being … how he was before the amnesia.

The ED

I don’t like the ED so much, but it sounds like the type of song I end up liking after a few listens so by next week it might as well be one of my favs. -laughs- The ED features a lot of pretty Code Geass CLAMP artwork. I demand a creditless version of the ED just to get Suzaku as my wallpaper. Suzaku really looks like Kamui in that shot after all.

That said … I need next sunday to come NOW before I collapse. There are a few mysteries from the first season (like where Nunally is and what really happened on Kaminejima on the last episode) that remained to be solved. The need to know what happened is KILLING me.
